LSK Library Service Scheme
Aiming at promoting intellectual exchange among hall members from different academic disciplines and backgrounds, as well as their reading habit, and equipping them with library-management skills, the Lee Shau Kee Hall Service Team has decided to establish a special library in their hall.
With the fundamental knowledge in establishing and managing a library, the Service Team has decided to elevate the service scope and help construct library facilities in chosen PRC areas, through collaboration with a PRC charitable organization called Hao Xue Action.
This Scheme therefore comprised three stages, including:
- a library course in the form of lectures provided to students in Lee Shau Kee Hall;
- the development of a library in Lee Shau Kee Hall by students who have attended the course; and
- a trip to PRC to apply the students’ skills in establishing and managing a library
