RESIDENCE-BASED ACADEMIC ADVISING (RAA)
In order to create an integrated educational and residential experience for students and address the concerns of freshmen living in halls, the University is planning to establish a RAA System starting in the academic year 2012-13.
Under the RAA System, a number of Residential Student Advisers would be recruited to help advise freshmen on hall matters and on striking balance between studying and hall activities.
Two pilot RAA schemes, with the help of HEDO, were successfully launched from January to April 2012, one involving the three halls in Sassoon Road, i.e. Lee Hysan Hall, R. C. Lee Hall and Wei Lun Hall, and one involving Swire Hall.
