Betterland Annual Project 2011

Being university students, Betterland, a group from Simon K. Y. Lee Hall, believe that they should contribute more to the society and lend help to the needy.

In the past two years, with the spirit of “Talent from Public, Duty to Public”, they have succeeded in holding functions to help different target groups.

In 2011, in order to arouse, among their peers, awareness about the intergenerational poverty problems in Hong Kong and raise resources for the poor intergenerational children, Betterland has designed a visit, exhibitions and a fund-raising trail walk.

The visit was to allow the young intergenerational children to share their experience and feelings through face-to-face interaction. The exhibitions and the trail walk (which started at Sai Kung and ended at Lion Rock Country Park) were held to raise funds and arouse public awareness about this social problem.
